Kampala, Uganda, 5th October 2022. The Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Asiimwe had an insightful meeting with a team from The Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) led by Senior Presidential Advisor on AGOA & Trade, Ms. Susan Muhwezi at the PSFU secretariat.
The discussion was around how we can collaborate to promote value addition to our products and ensure high impact return on investment on exports.
Ms. Muhwezi introduced two entrepreneurs who are currently exporting to the UK; Sseko Designs and Raintree Farms Ltd.
Sseko Designs is a sustainable fashion brand that believes beautiful products should have beautiful stories behind them. Every piece in our collection is thoughtfully designed and created with dignity.
Raintree Farms, Ltd. is Uganda's largest agricuetical company specializing in the value-added processing of Moringa Oleifera crops. Our 30-acre farm—located in Masindi District, in North-Western Uganda—is supplied by a network of over 150 farmers.
