PSFU CEO Pays Courtesy Visit to Diamond Trust Bank
On Friday 28th of Jan 2022, our CEO, Stephen Asiimwe paid a courtesy visit to Diamond Trust Bank one of our long-standing members in the private sector.
He held discussions with DTB’s CEO Mr. Varghese Thambi and Executive Director – Mbabazi. K Emejeit on how DTB can contribute to Uganda’s Private Sector in 2022. DTB's contribution will comprise of reduction in the cost of borrowing and lending capacity, increased mobile banking and social cooperate responsibility.
DTB bank is one of the few banks in Ug to have the Gender Quality Seal and has 54% of its workers as females having majority employees who are natives at a rate of 99.5 %. DTB bank was the first bank in Uganda to have 8 to 8 banking launched in 2008, It is the 7th bank in the Uganda Bankers Association having 75% of its businesses in Ugandan. Mr. Varghese Thambi and his team congratulated Stephen Asiimwe upon his appointment as Chief executive Director of Private Sector Uganda, stating that Diamond Trust bank is delighted to work with Stephen as the new CEO and is excited to work together to impact the private sector in Uganda.
