Mr. Stephen Asiimwe, Chief Executive Officer- Private Sector Foundation Uganda, together with his team, Mr. Apollo Muyanja and Lorraine Nkoba representing Young Africa Works program under PSFU met with Chief Executive Officer of New Vision, Mr. Don Wanyama during a courtesy visit to New Vision head offices on the 18th of January 2022, with the aim of forming a collaboration in order to promote visibility and awareness of PSFU’s activities and programs.
The visibility strategy is aimed to target development-oriented youth with the goal of youth empowerment through opportunities that are available in the economy within the private sector.
New Vision is one of the leading media houses dealing in print, TV, radio, and digital services and has platforms of choice by the youth as evidenced by the several awards that they have won like the Buzz Teens Awards. “New Vision is a robust in -house capacity and a lot of information that we can mine to support this initiative,” Don Wanyama stated.
PSFU believes that this collaboration will enable a 360 outreach through the Country and further strengthen its advocacy ability on behalf of the Private Sector in Uganda enabling our members to gain knowledge about economic policies in the country.
